Owner and Teacher - Joel Hanks, Chess Expert. Two-time All-American Chess Player at ages 11 and 12 years old. I played very competitive chess on a national level from Ages 10-15 before pursuing other interests. I have a ton of great memories and friends from my experiences playing the game and traveling the country. I have taught the game at various levels on and off for the last 20 years, having taught most recently at Stony Lane Elementary School, running a competitive team that finished in first place in the state last year. I have a huge passion for teaching and I love working with kids so I am very excited to be launching this school.
